وَإِن مِّن شَيْءٍ إِلاَّ عِندَنَا خَزَائِنُهُ وَمَا نُنَزِّلُهُ إِلاَّ بِقَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
21. And not is there anything, except (that) at Us is its stores; and We descend it not except with a known value.

وَأَرْسَلْنَا الرِّيَاحَ لَوَاقِحَ فَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاء مَاء فَأَسْقَيْنَاكُمُوهُ وَمَا أَنتُمْ لَهُ بِخَازِنِينَ
22. And We sent the winds as fertilizers; and We descended from the sky water, so We hydrated you (with) it, and not of it are you storers.

وَإنَّا لَنَحْنُ نُحْيِي وَنُمِيتُ وَنَحْنُ الْوَارِثُونَ
23. And assuredly We, surely Us, vivify and deaden; and We are the Inheritors.

وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا الْمُسْتَقْدِمِينَ مِنكُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا الْمُسْتَأْخِرِينَ
24. And We have truly known the forward (coming) ones from you, and We have truly known the later (coming) ones.

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ إِنَّهُ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ
25. And assuredly your Lord, He masses them; assuredly He is most judicious, most knowledgeable.

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الإِنسَانَ مِن صَلْصَالٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ
26. And We have truly created the human from clay of black earth, transformed.

وَالْجَآنَّ خَلَقْنَاهُ مِن قَبْلُ مِن نَّارِ السَّمُومِ
27. And the Jinn We created before, from the fire of Simoom.

وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلاَئِكَةِ إِنِّي خَالِقٌ بَشَرًا مِّن صَلْصَالٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ
28. For, said did your Lord to the angels, "Assuredly I am creating humans from clay of black earth, transformed."

فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِي فَقَعُواْ لَهُ سَاجِدِينَ
29. "So, when I level him and blow into him from My spirit, fall unto him, prostrating."

فَسَجَدَ الْمَلآئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ
30. So prostrated did the angels, all of them, all together.

إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ أَبَى أَن يَكُونَ مَعَ السَّاجِدِينَ
31. Except Iblis, he refused to be with the prostrators.

قَالَ يَا إِبْلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلاَّ تَكُونَ مَعَ السَّاجِدِينَ
32. He said, "O Iblis, what is it with you that not are you with the prostrators?"

قَالَ لَمْ أَكُن لِّأَسْجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقْتَهُ مِن صَلْصَالٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ
33. He said, "Not would I prostrate to a human You created from clay of black earth, transformed."

قَالَ فَاخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ
34. He said, "Then exit from it, for assuredly you are most peltworthy."

وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ اللَّعْنَةَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
35. "And assuredly upon you is the curse until the Day of Requital."

قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِي إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
36. He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the day they are dispatched."

قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنظَرِينَ
37. He said, "Then assuredly you are from the reprieved..."

إِلَى يَومِ الْوَقْتِ الْمَعْلُومِ
38. "...until the Day of Known Time."

قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَا أَغْوَيْتَنِي لأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
39. He said, "My Lord, since You strayed me, then I will surely decorate for them (what is) on Earth, and I will stray them, all together..."

إِلاَّ عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
40. "...except Your slaves among them, the sincere (ones)."
