فَلَمَّا
جَاء آلَ
لُوطٍ
الْمُرْسَلُونَ
61. So when came to the family of Lot did the messengers...
قَالَ
إِنَّكُمْ
قَوْمٌ
مُّنكَرُونَ
62. ...he said, "Assuredly you are people,
unrecognized."
قَالُواْ
بَلْ
جِئْنَاكَ
بِمَا
كَانُواْ
فِيهِ
يَمْتَرُونَ
63. They said, "Rather, we came to you about what they were
ever in it contending."
وَأَتَيْنَاكَ
بَالْحَقِّ
وَإِنَّا
لَصَادِقُونَ
64. "And we arrive to you with the right, and assuredly we
are surely truthful."
فَأَسْرِ
بِأَهْلِكَ
بِقِطْعٍ
مِّنَ
اللَّيْلِ
وَاتَّبِعْ
أَدْبَارَهُمْ
وَلاَ
يَلْتَفِتْ
مِنكُمْ
أَحَدٌ
وَامْضُواْ
حَيْثُ
تُؤْمَرُونَ
65. "So journey by night with your family, in sections of
the night, and follow on their tails; and let not any one of you
look around and proceed where you are ordered."
وَقَضَيْنَا
إِلَيْهِ
ذَلِكَ
الأَمْرَ
أَنَّ
دَابِرَ
هَؤُلاء
مَقْطُوعٌ
مُّصْبِحِينَ
66. And We decreed for him (in) that affair that, to the
hindmost, those
would
be severed
in the morning.
وَجَاء
أَهْلُ
الْمَدِينَةِ
يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
67. And came did the people of the city, glad at the tidings.
قَالَ
إِنَّ
هَؤُلاء
ضَيْفِي
فَلاَ
تَفْضَحُونِ
68. He said, "Assuredly those are my guests, so scandal me
not."
وَاتَّقُوا
اللّهَ
وَلاَ
تُخْزُونِ
69. "And venerate Allah and disgrace me not."
قَالُوا
أَوَلَمْ
نَنْهَكَ
عَنِ
الْعَالَمِينَ
70. They said, "Did we not forbid you from the worlds (as a
whole)?"
قَالَ
هَؤُلاء
بَنَاتِي
إِن
كُنتُمْ
فَاعِلِينَ
71. He said, "Those are my daughters, if you were ever
doers."
لَعَمْرُكَ
إِنَّهُمْ
لَفِي
سَكْرَتِهِمْ
يَعْمَهُونَ
72. By your life! Assuredly they are surely in their
stupor, roaming.
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ
الصَّيْحَةُ
مُشْرِقِينَ
73. So took them did the shout at sunrise.
فَجَعَلْنَا
عَالِيَهَا
سَافِلَهَا
وَأَمْطَرْنَا
عَلَيْهِمْ
حِجَارَةً
مِّن
سِجِّيلٍ
74. Then We made its top, its bottom and We rained upon them
stones of Sijeel.
إِنَّ
فِي
ذَلِكَ
لآيَاتٍ
لِّلْمُتَوَسِّمِينَ
75. Assuredly in this are signs for the inferring (ones).
وَإِنَّهَا
لَبِسَبِيلٍ
مُّقيمٍ
76. And assuredly it is surely on an established way.
إِنَّ
فِي
ذَلِكَ
لآيَةً
لِّلْمُؤمِنِينَ
77. Assuredly in this is a sign for the faithful.
وَإِن
كَانَ
أَصْحَابُ
الأَيْكَةِ
لَظَالِمِينَ
78. And for, ever were the Companions of The Thicket surely
oppressors.
فَانتَقَمْنَا
مِنْهُمْ
وَإِنَّهُمَا
لَبِإِمَامٍ
مُّبِينٍ
79. So We avenged upon them, and assuredly they are (both)
surely on a manifest lead.
وَلَقَدْ
كَذَّبَ
أَصْحَابُ
الحِجْرِ
الْمُرْسَلِينَ
80. And surely they have truly belied, the Companions of Al-Hijr
(Valley), the messengers.
