(21) Al-Anbiyaa: The Prophets سورة الأنبياء

أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا آلِهَةً مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ هُمْ يُنشِرُونَ
21. Or have they taken gods from Earth who (can) dispatch?

لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَا آلِهَةٌ إِلَّا اللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا فَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
22. If there were in either (one) gods, except Allah, they would surely (both) be corrupted; so extol Allah, the Lord of the Throne, against what they describe.

لَا يُسْأَلُ عَمَّا يَفْعَلُ وَهُمْ يُسْأَلُونَ
23. Not is He questioned about what He does, yet they are questioned.

أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً قُلْ هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ هَذَا ذِكْرُ مَن مَّعِيَ وَذِكْرُ مَن قَبْلِي بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ الْحَقَّ فَهُم مُّعْرِضُونَ
24. Or have they taken outside of Him gods?  Say: "Bring on your proof!  This is remembrance for whoever is with me and the remembrance of whoever was before me."  Rather, the abundance of them know not the right so they are averting.

وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا نُوحِي إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا فَاعْبُدُونِ
25. And not did We send from before you any messenger except that We inspired unto him thus: "There is no god except Me, so worship Me."

وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمَنُ وَلَدًا سُبْحَانَهُ بَلْ عِبَادٌ مُّكْرَمُونَ
26. And they said, "Taken has Ar-Rahman a son."  Extolled is He!  Rather, (they are) graced slaves.

لَا يَسْبِقُونَهُ بِالْقَوْلِ وَهُم بِأَمْرِهِ يَعْمَلُونَ
27. Not are they advancing Him in the saying, and they are by His order performing. 

يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يَشْفَعُونَ إِلَّا لِمَنِ ارْتَضَى وَهُم مِّنْ خَشْيَتِهِ مُشْفِقُونَ
28. He knows what is between their hands and what is behind them, and they intercede not except for whomever He is contented with; and they are, out of reverence to Him, concerned.

وَمَن يَقُلْ مِنْهُمْ إِنِّي إِلَهٌ مِّن دُونِهِ فَذَلِكَ نَجْزِيهِ جَهَنَّمَ كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الظَّالِمِينَ
29. And whoever says from them, "Assuredly I am a god outside of Him," then that (one) We recompense him (with) Hell, thus We recompense the oppressors.

أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنَاهُمَا وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَاء كُلَّ شَيْءٍ حَيٍّ أَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
30. Did they not see, the ones who repudiated, that assuredly the heavens and Earth were patched together then We rent them, and We made from water every living thing?  So, do they not have faith?

وَجَعَلْنَا فِي الْأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِهِمْ وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا فِجَاجًا سُبُلًا لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ
31. And We made on Earth fasteners lest it sway with them, and We made in it cols as ways so they might be guided.

وَجَعَلْنَا السَّمَاء سَقْفًا مَّحْفُوظًا وَهُمْ عَنْ آيَاتِهَا مُعْرِضُونَ
32. And We made the sky a preserved ceiling, yet they are from its signs averting.

وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ
33. And He is the One who created the night and the day; and the sun and the moon, each in an orbit swimming.

وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ الْخُلْدَ أَفَإِن مِّتَّ فَهُمُ الْخَالِدُونَ
34. And We made not for the humans before you eternalness, so if you are to die are they to be eternal?

كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ وَنَبْلُوكُم بِالشَّرِّ وَالْخَيْرِ فِتْنَةً وَإِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ
35. Every soul is tasting death; and We try you with evil and goodness as a test, and unto Us you are returned.

وَإِذَا رَآكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَذَا الَّذِي يَذْكُرُ آلِهَتَكُمْ وَهُم بِذِكْرِ الرَّحْمَنِ هُمْ كَافِرُونَ
36. And when see you do the ones who repudiated, indeed they take you but in mockery, "Is this the one who mentions your gods?"  And they are, in the mentioning of Ar-Rahman, they are repudiators.

خُلِقَ الْإِنسَانُ مِنْ عَجَلٍ سَأُرِيكُمْ آيَاتِي فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونِ
37. Created was the human of haste - I will show you My signs, so hasten Me not.

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هَذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
38. And they say, "When is this promise, if you are every truthful?"

لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا حِينَ لَا يَكُفُّونَ عَن وُجُوهِهِمُ النَّارَ وَلَا عَن ظُهُورِهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ
39. If (only) knew did the ones who repudiated when they (will) fend not the fire from their faces nor from their backs, and not are they championed!

بَلْ تَأْتِيهِم بَغْتَةً فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ رَدَّهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ
40. Rather, it arrives to them suddenly so it dumbfounds them; thus not can they revert it and not are they reprieved.
