(21) Al-Anbiyaa: The Prophets سورة الأنبياء

قَالُوا فَأْتُوا بِهِ عَلَى أَعْيُنِ النَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْهَدُونَ
61. They said, "So, bring him before the eyes of the people so they might witness."

قَالُوا أَأَنتَ فَعَلْتَ هَذَا بِآلِهَتِنَا يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ
62. They said, "Is it you who did that with our gods, O Abraham?"

قَالَ بَلْ فَعَلَهُ كَبِيرُهُمْ هَذَا فَاسْأَلُوهُمْ إِن كَانُوا يَنطِقُونَ
63. He said, "Rather, did it did their greatest, this.  So ask them, if they were ever to articulate."

فَرَجَعُوا إِلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ فَقَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ أَنتُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ
64. Thus they returned to themselves, then they said, "Assuredly it is you, you are the oppressors."

ثُمَّ نُكِسُوا عَلَى رُؤُوسِهِمْ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا هَؤُلَاء يَنطِقُونَ
65. Then they were made to hang over their heads, "You have truly known, not do those articulate."

قَالَ أَفَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُكُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَضُرُّكُمْ
66. He said, "So do you worship outside of Allah, what benefits you not anything nor harms you?"

أُفٍّ لَّكُمْ وَلِمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
67. "Oof, to you and what you worship outside of Allah!  So, are you not mindful?"

قَالُوا حَرِّقُوهُ وَانصُرُوا آلِهَتَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ فَاعِلِينَ
68. They said, "Torch him, and champion your gods, if you were ever doers!"

قُلْنَا يَا نَارُ كُونِي بَرْدًا وَسَلَامًا عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ
69. We said, "O fire, be cool and peaceful upon Abraham."

وَأَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْأَخْسَرِينَ
70. And they wanted for him guile so We made them the losers.

وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَلُوطًا إِلَى الْأَرْضِ الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا لِلْعَالَمِينَ
71. And We saved him and Lot unto the land that We blessed therein for the worlds.

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ نَافِلَةً وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا صَالِحِينَ
72. And We bestowed upon him Isaac and Jacob, extra, and each We made righteous.

وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْهِمْ فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ وَإِقَامَ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَاء الزَّكَاةِ وَكَانُوا لَنَا عَابِدِينَ
73. And We made them leaders guiding by Our order, and We inspired unto them doing goodness, and establishing the prayers, and providing the Zakah;  and they were ever unto Us worshippers.

وَلُوطًا آتَيْنَاهُ حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي كَانَت تَّعْمَلُ الْخَبَائِثَ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَاسِقِينَ
74. And Lot, We provided him judiciousness and knowledge and We saved him from the village, the one that was performing vileness; assuredly they were ever people of ill, divergent.

وَأَدْخَلْنَاهُ فِي رَحْمَتِنَا إِنَّهُ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
75. And We entered him into Our mercy, assuredly he is from the righteous.

وَنُوحًا إِذْ نَادَى مِن قَبْلُ فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ فَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ
76. And Noah, for he cried from before so We responded to him, then We saved him and his family from the grand calamity.

وَنَصَرْنَاهُ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
77. And We championed him from the people, the ones who belied Our signs; assuredly they were ever people of ill, so We drowned them all together.

وَدَاوُودَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ إِذْ يَحْكُمَانِ فِي الْحَرْثِ إِذْ نَفَشَتْ فِيهِ غَنَمُ الْقَوْمِ وَكُنَّا لِحُكْمِهِمْ شَاهِدِينَ
78. And David and Solomon, for they judged in (the case of) the tilth, when pastured by night in it did the sheep of the people, and We were ever unto their judgment Witnesses.

فَفَهَّمْنَاهَا سُلَيْمَانَ وَكُلًّا آتَيْنَا حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَسَخَّرْنَا مَعَ دَاوُودَ الْجِبَالَ يُسَبِّحْنَ وَالطَّيْرَ وَكُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ
79. So We made Solomon to understand it, and (to) each We provided judiciousness and knowledge.  And We made subservient, with David, the mountains (so) they extol, and the birds; and We were ever Doers. 

وَعَلَّمْنَاهُ صَنْعَةَ لَبُوسٍ لَّكُمْ لِتُحْصِنَكُم مِّن بَأْسِكُمْ فَهَلْ أَنتُمْ شَاكِرُونَ
80. And We taught him the making of a garment for you, to safeguard you from your toughness; so are you thankful?
