اتَّبِعُوا مَن لاَّ يَسْأَلُكُمْ أَجْرًا وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ
21. "Follow who ask you not reward and they are guided."

وَمَا لِي لاَ أَعْبُدُ الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
22. "And what would it be to me that I worship not the One who originated me and to whom you are returned?"  

أَأَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً إِن يُرِدْنِ الرَّحْمَن بِضُرٍّ لاَّ تُغْنِ عَنِّي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْئًا وَلاَ يُنقِذُونِ
23. "Should I take outside of Him gods (when) if Ar-Rahman wants harm for me it enriches me not, their intercession, and they can rescue me not?"

إِنِّي إِذًا لَّفِي ضَلاَلٍ مُّبِينٍ
24. "Assuredly, I would then be in manifest deviation." 

إِنِّي آمَنتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَاسْمَعُونِ
25. "Assuredly I have faith in your Lord, so hear me."

قِيلَ ادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ قَوْمِي يَعْلَمُونَ
26. It was said, "Enter the Garden."  He said, "If only my people were informed...

بِمَا غَفَرَ لِي رَبِّي وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ
27. ...with how my Lord has forgiven me and made me of the graced ones."

وَمَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَى قَوْمِهِ مِن بَعْدِهِ مِنْ جُندٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاء وَمَا كُنَّا مُنزِلِينَ
28. And We descended not on his people, after him, any troops from the heavens and We were not descenders.

إِن كَانَتْ إِلاَّ صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ خَامِدُونَ
29. Indeed it was but one shout, so then they are stifled.

يَا حَسْرَةً عَلَى الْعِبَادِ مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلاَّ كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُون
30. O weariness, upon the slaves (who) approaches them not does any messenger but they are ever mocking him.

أَلَمْ يَرَوْا كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنْ الْقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لاَ يَرْجِعُونَ
31. Have they not seen how many We destroyed of the generations before them which to them they return not?

وَإِن كُلٌّ لَّمَّا جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ
32. For each, but all, to Us are brought.

وَآيَةٌ لَّهُمُ الْأَرْضُ الْمَيْتَةُ أَحْيَيْنَاهَا وَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهَا حَبًّا فَمِنْهُ يَأْكُلُونَ
33. And a sign to them is the dead earth We vivified, and We issued from it grain so from it they eat.

وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا جَنَّاتٍ مِن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ وَفَجَّرْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ الْعُيُونِ
34. And We made in it gardens of palms and grapes, and We burst in it from the springs...

لِيَأْكُلُوا مِن ثَمَرِهِ وَمَا عَمِلَتْهُ أَيْدِيهِمْ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ
35. ...so that they eat from its produce and what their hands performed, do they not thank?

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنبِتُ الْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
36. Extolled is the One who created all the pairs, from what Earth vegetates and from themselves and from what they know not.

وَآيَةٌ لَّهُمْ اللَّيْلُ نَسْلَخُ مِنْهُ النَّهَارَ فَإِذَا هُم مُّظْلِمُونَ
37. And a sign to them is the night - We skin from it the daytime, so there they are in darkness.

وَالشَّمْسُ تَجْرِي لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَّهَا ذَلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ
38. And the sun runs to a settlement of its own - that is the evaluation of The Most Esteemed, The Most Knowledgeable.

وَالْقَمَرَ قَدَّرْنَاهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّى عَادَ كَالْعُرْجُونِ الْقَدِيمِ
39. And (for) the moon We evaluated hostels until it returned like an old palm rhizome.

لَا الشَّمْسُ يَنبَغِي لَهَا أَن تُدْرِكَ الْقَمَرَ وَلَا اللَّيْلُ سَابِقُ النَّهَارِ وَكُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ
40. Not is it befitting for the sun to approximate (to) the moon, nor is the night advancing the morning and each is in an orbit, swimming.
