(55) Ar-Rahman: The All Merciful

سورة الرحمن

يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ
22. Issue from them both do Pearls and Coral.

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
23. So, in which boons of your Lord do you both belie?

وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنشَآتُ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ
24. And unto Him are the constructed cruisers in the sea like landmarks.

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
25. So, in which boons of your Lord do you both belie?

كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ
26. All who are on it are evanescent,

وَيَبْقَى وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ
27. ...and remains does the Countenance of your Lord, Possessor of The Glory and The Grace.

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
28. So, in which boons of your Lord do you both belie?

يَسْأَلُهُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْنٍ
29. Asks Him does whoever is in the heavens and Earth, every day He is in a matter.

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
30. So, in which boons of your Lord do you both belie?

سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَا الثَّقَلَانِ
31. We will unoccupy (Ourselves) to you, O you two heavy ones.

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
32. So, in which boons of your Lord do you both belie?

يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَانفُذُوا لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍ
33. O you clans of jinns and humans, if you are able to elude the zones of the heavens and Earth, then elude - you elude not except with authority.

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
34. So, in which boons of your Lord do you both belie?

يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ
35. Dispatched upon you are flares of fire and copper, then not are you two victorious.

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
36. So, in which boons of your Lord do you both belie?

فَإِذَا انشَقَّتِ السَّمَاء فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ
37. So when sunders does the sky, thus it becomes a rose like grease.

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
38. So, in which boons of your Lord do you both belie?

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْأَلُ عَن ذَنبِهِ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَانٌّ
39. So that day asked not about his guilt is man, nor jinn.

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
40. So, in which boons of your Lord do you both belie?

* The words "both" and "two" do not explicitly occur anywhere in this surah. However, the Arabic conjugation for 'two' of anything is used which differs from the conjugation for the singular form and from the plural conjugation for more than two.
